Oakdale Public School Library
Our Library is an exciting educational space with resources to accommodate the needs of our students.
We have a wonderful collection of Picture Books, Fiction, Non-Fiction and Reference books as well as 15 desktop and 15 laptop computers!
The Library is open during the second half of lunch on Thursdays and Friday.
On Thursdays and Fridays, the Library is a vibrant and busy place for shared reading, borrowing, completing homework, drawing, colouring-in, or playing computer or board games.
Our Library is very lucky to have such enthusiastic Library Monitors who work really hard to ensure that the library runs smoothly.
Every year, the Library organises the NSW Premier's Reading Challenge for our students. The Challenge aims to encourage a love of reading and enables students to experience quality literature. Students from Years 3-6 are able to log onto the Challenge site from home using the same user name and password they use to log onto the school computers.
We also hold a Book Fair each year to celebrate Book Week!
Happy Reading! :)
